Playground Pictures is a faux production company based in the bay area and a collective of young artists in-the-making, looking for talented amateurs and students to join us in the quest to fulfill our wildest dreams and desires.

what this is not

-something for people looking for a one-time gig, hit-and-run, hired gun type of situation

-something for people who expect to get paid or have had success getting paid for their services in the past

…however if you are

-currently enrolled in college (maybe even high school), not sure what to do once you graduate from school or

-someone who either dropped out of, never went to, or recently graduated from college 

and are interested in making a career out of film/art/production/writing/storytelling but not sure where to start, you are exactly who we’re looking for.

We are looking for people who are willing to join us for the long haul, not someone who wants make a quick buck to pay their bills next month or whatever. 

We are just now starting out as a team with big plans for our first production, and need a lot of help from talented people we can learn from and grow together with. 

We are hoping to form a small team that can work well together efficiently and effectively. This is going to work more like a family, or a team of friends, rather than a business or a studio. We have plans to grow as time goes by, but our initial goal is to build a close-knit group of people that can be the core or foundation of what is to become later on. 

We are currently looking to start production on a full-length debut feature that we hope to finish by the end of the year and start entering it into competitions for 2013.

And while we’re working on our feature, we are planning to work on side projects (music videos, commercials, shorts, web series…etc.) that will hopefully generate some revenue and publicity. 

We are looking for:

-writers/storytellers

-a director of photography/cinematographer

-an editor 

-a sound guy

-actors

-graphic designers/artists
